TASTING NOTES
Alvear Pale Cream is a pale sweet wine, which preserves the colour and freshness of a Fino with the gentle sweetness of a cream, creating a beautiful combination. The wine is aged under the criaderas and solera system, a traditional method involving rows of American oak casks that develop a clear layer of yeast know as the “Velo de flor” on top of the wine that prevents the wine from oxidation and gives it its characteristic aroma and flavour. This wine is aged for at least 2 years. Gold in colour with a delicate and flowery aroma. It is a lightly sweetened Fino with a medium-sweet flavour.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect as a chilled aperitif, accompanied by tapas of olives, shellfish, ham, cheese, fish, snacks or sushi. Alvear Pale Cream Sherry is one of those rare wines which will happily partner with light and fruity desserts and can be used in cocktails or sangria.
